Homemade Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ cup white wine
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium high heat. Add onions and garlic; cook until onion is tender.
  2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and wine.
  3. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. With a hand blender, process until mixture is smooth.
