Sweet Chili Prawn

Ingredients
  • 1 lb tiger prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons chili garlic sauce or more for a spicier sauce
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, toss the prawns with the cornstarch, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients. Set aside.
  3. Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add the oil and swirl to coat the bottom. Add the garlic, ginger and shallot and stir fry for 40 seconds.
  4. Add the prawns and stir fry for 2 minutes or until pink.
  5. Add the sauce and stir to coat the prawns well.
  6. Transfer to a plate and serve.
  7. Enjoy!
