Apple Brownies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups peeled,cored,sliced granny smith apples
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a 9 X13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together butter, salt and sugar. Beat in eggs.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; mix well.
  4. Fold in apple slices and nuts. Mixture is quite thick.
  5. Spread evenly in pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
