Baked Chicken Wings (Japanese Style)

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Sauce

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 5 tbsp water
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare the chicken wings by removing wing tips and discard. Cut wings apart at joint. Place in a large bowl and toss with seasoning salt and olive oil.
  • Arrange seasoned wings in single layer on a large baking sheet with sides. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Mix ingredients for sauce and then pour over the baked chicken wings. Baked for another 45 minutes, basting and turning wings over halfway through.
  • Serve with the sauce.
