Broccoli with Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • 1 lb broccoli florets
  • ΒΌ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 1 small shallot minced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large saucepan of boiling salted water, cook broccoli until crisp tender, about a minute. Drain well and set aside.
  2. In a big bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, basil, shallot and garlic. Season dressing with salt and pepper to taste and toss with broccoli.
  3. Serve with meat or seafood.
